^Lot 4421 INTERESTING DUTCH WALLOON BROADSWORD.

This very neat example has a nice 36" double edged blade with nicely struck armorers marks and stylized decorative monograms on both sides. The guard is a single pierced kidney lobe plate with double knuckle bow & thumb loop. The knuckle bows are fastened to the pommel with screws. The grip is spiral with wire wrap missing Turkish knots. CONDITION: The blade has been lightly cleaned with great markings. The remaining metal has a dark patina. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Nicholas Apergis (02-24745/ZAL) $1500-2250
